I am sorry I haven't been blogging lately...I have missed a month and a half. I was very ill, caught that SUPER bug going around that knocked me off my feet for over three weeks. I have also been working hard and then renovating my flat, and then entertaining family and friends and finally, my husband and I have seperated and I am trying to get into the swing of things of what comes next. Life, you just never know what's around the corner! I am thinking that I may go back to the one Blog page format again, and will let you know when I make that decision for sure. I am hoping to be up and cooking with gas again once the May flowers start blooming! Until then, as you are sliding down the bannister of life....may all the splinters be going your way!

Did you know.....
People 55 and older mainly dream in black and white and under that age in color! Why? Scientists believe it is because those 55 and older mainly were exposed to black and white TV and those under 55 to color television. This now has them wondering how the new generation of video game junkies dreams will influence them!

My hubby was in the bank the other day and a woman in front of him was depositing 12 cents that she had found on the ground! He overheard the conversation the woman was having with the teller. She mentioned that she wanted the money deposited into the account that had $2000 in it. This account she told the teller is the account that she created for all of the lost coins she finds and deposits!

Live Journal: Hi Ho Hi Ho

Well, it's official, I am back to work tomorrow full time, 5 days a week from 9-5. I think this is going to seriously affect my creative life! I have been hired as a Facilitator of groups for an employment agency, a contract Government position. It is a job, and yet it is not a job! I get paid, I put in 35 hours a week, but while I am working this job I am supposed to be gaining as much experience in this field as possible, attending re-training workshops, and actively looking for a permanent position elsewhere in this field. I am there to sort of work myself out of a job and into another one. Ideally, they want me to leave before my 52 week contract with them is up because then they are successful in re-training me for a second career. If they fail, and I can't find full time employment in the field of Facilitating, Training, Instructing....then they will look at sending me back to school. Not a shabby deal! The kicker is....my Supervisor is young enough to be my son!

I haven't worked a 9-5'er in a long time and I have not worked outside my home for a year now, even longer as I was a property manager just before I quit and did that from my home as well! I have done facilitating, training, and instructing before in the many positions I held as a Social Worker but that has not been my primary work....(thus the second career aspect of this). I haven't worked in social work now for 2 years so I am feeling really out of the loop and a little apprehensive about getting back into the "helping" field again. Fear of the unknown I guess. I am also worried that I may fail...especially physically. The last 2 years have been a battle with my auto immune system and battling things like, hypothyroidism, hypoglycemia, arthritis, gerd, bi-polar 2, and muscle pain and fatigue all linked to the fibromyalgia. I am not a basket case by any means.....I only have to take meds for the Gerd and Thyroid, and I take Arthritis Tylenol for the arthritis. The rest I have learned to manage with diet, rest, and reduced stress. The thing is, it is easy to manage these things when you are at home....from the work place it is a whole other story, so I have some anxiety over this. But...I am just going to take this day by day and hope for the best not the worst. I will keep you posted on how things go.

So...I haven't gotten around to posting my new Years Goals yet. Procrastination is one of my dark sides so I had better get on it now before I find myself in January of next year!

I broke things down like this....

THIS YEAR

Find a job (part time, flexible, place I want to work) (see Patti-Annie)

Continue with collecting change in my big change jar & hoard away a secret nest egg.

Send New Years Cards to my top 20!

Put a new sign in my old frame each month!

Plan B.D. celebrations for my family, including handmade gifts.

Send off by snail mail a special friend letter each month.

Once a month have a themed date night with my hubby.

Create one painting per month.

Create monthly photo shoots.

Create a monthly Zine and/or an altered book.

Create monthly gift ables to sell and give away.

Create seasonal clothing for myself and to sell.

Plan monthly Retro, Vintage, Campy, Kitsch shopping sprees.

Start a new and functional diet and exercise plan.

Continue to make weekly grocery lists and menu plans.

Work on one home improvement project a month.

Have at least one family day, one mother daughter day, and niece and nephew fun days a month.

Have at least one friend play date a month.

Schedule free time...daily...just for me.

Remember my loved ones birthdays and send cards when applicable.

Plan mini day trips or get aways with my hubby every 3 months.

Make treats for special occasions.

Hold a tea party at least every 3 months.

Fasting....detoxifying....every 3 months.

Schedule craft shows to sell my wares.

Garden....flowers, veggies, herbs.

Attend a variety of festivals.

Camping.....

Big family gatherings for Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas.

Make up a schedule for house cleaning.

Organize my art space.

Make a deck of affirmation cards.

Hit up the yard sales this summer.

Shop at Farmers Markets.

Drink more wine, margaritas and martinis.

Grow my hair.

Get new eye glasses.

Invest in at least one really good bra.

Plan my own birthday party!

Go to a play at the Grand Theatre.

see a concert.

Create a new image...out with the old, in with the new!

Work towards opening a shop.

Live Journal: Uh Oh! I'm Bad!

So...I was baking a pumpkin pie the other night, and this darned pie just didn't want to bake right and I was frustrated and I tossed the pie back in the oven for a few more minutes and I used a dish towel to do that...and then I threw the dish towel on the counter and went into the living room to watch TV. All of a sudden I heard Skyla yelling...MOM...MOM...MOM..and then Fire...Fire...Fire! I leaped out of my chair closely followed by my husband who was napping soundly on the sofa. There on my counter, was my dish towel , on fire! I must have caught the edge on the ovens element. I blew on it...didn't work, I tried to fold it into itself...didn't work, I yelled for my husband to beat it out with a near by card board box...didn't work. Hubby was so excited he just wanted to spray it out with the fire extinguisher....NO I yelled! It will make a huge mess! Finally we tossed it in the sink and turned the tap on...Fire Out! But...look what I did...Uh Oh!

Brand new counter hubby just put in....burned.

Oh well...it could have been worse!

Another lazy Sunday...colored my hair today a reddish dark blonde, we'll see how long it lasts as the platinum blonde always wants to shine through (that and the grey). I have decided as one of my New Years Goals, to change my Blog style. I have given it much thought and I want the chance to be able to organize things a bit more in the way that I live and function. So...my plan is this... My old Blog called....Heidi Wholeness will still exist but she will not be the only one! What I mean is....Heidi Wholeness is only one part of who I am. I am also made up of Lizzie-Tish, Patti-Annie, Jessie-Jane, Jeeze Louise and Tootsie Lou Lou! No, I do not have multiple personalities in the (mental illness) way. But I do have a variety of personality traits that come and go throughout my life that contribute to who I really truly am. These personality traits have all been organized under a nic name that I use or have used at various times in my life as well and I have matched my interests to each name and personality in order to form one Blog Spot using 6 personalities all living behind one wall! Confused yet? This Blog called Over The Wall will soon be organized and you will be able to find each personality waiting here ready to share her (my) specialties! If you still don't get it...you will just have to wait and check back for yourself....and climb on over the wall! I promise it won't be complicated just fun!
